It Stinks!

I went to the Laugh Factory last night and saw a pretty great show.  The big kicker here is that I got in for FREE and had several drinks for FREE.  I’m all up in this VIP biznass.

There were plenty of comics there, however here are the major players:

  • Jo Koy (Comedy Central presents)
  • Godfrey (the 2nd 7up guy)
  • Larry Miller (the five stages of drinking bit)
  • Jon Lovitz (the guy that doesn’t need a link)

The best thing about Jon Lovitz is not SNL, its not Rat Trap, and its not Loaded Weapon.  It’s not even City Slickers 2.  It’s The Critic.  I’m sure you haven’t heard of The Critic, just because I’m going to play the odds.  It is one of the great animated classics of yesteryear.  Jon Lovitz was hilarious, and he even sang us some songs.  Buy my book!  Buy my book!  Buy my book!

Horrible Poster

I apoologize for my small Hiatus.  I can assure that I am indeed alive and still pursuing Beverly Hills goodness in a most exemplary way.  I can also tell you that things at work have been quite busy, to such a point that one weekend I was awake for approximately 36 hours straight.  However, I took part in a marvelous feat of engineering that few could compete with. Ominous!

I have become a regular at the ol’ Upright Citizen’s Brigade theatre.  On Friday I saw Matt Besser‘s show Woo Pig Sooie, which was filled with hilarity and silly religious insight.  I actually sat next to Ian Roberts, so booya.  Then Saturday night I saw their improv show, which Ian was in with a host of other Improv’ers, however Matt was in New York doing Woo Pig at the NYC theatre.  Patton Oswalt was the special monologuist that night, and I actually ran into him at a sushi restaurant months previously.  The circle is now complete.
