On Chelsea-Like Wins

Yesterday’s win was a Chelsea win.  I call it that for several reasons (none of which is that we are diving money-spending cheats).  It wasn’t pretty, it could have gone either way based on chances alone, but we dominated play and possession. The second inspiring goal that we scored to go up was scrappy and didn’t have the usual Arsenal flair like the first or third.

How do Chelsea fans live through matches like this, week-in week-out? If we win every match for the rest of the season, I would love it.  We’ll all be happy fun-loving gunners.  But, if we won them all like this, I would need some Beta blockers for what would become an ever-increasing heart rate.

True, every game is stressful unless we go 2 to 3 up, but relying on wins like this will kill me.

What can we do to make sure we start winning convincingly?  My answer: 4-4-2, Theo Walcott, and defensive consistency.  What do you think?

Yeah, we need to go back to the traditional 4-4-2, for the large majority of games.
We can’t be giving the likes of Newcastle & Hamburg, at home, so much respect, by packing the midfield.

Man Yoo, Bolton, Real Madrid away, then 100% use the 4-5-1.
On another note, thanks to Eboue & Batista for Tuesday night, scoring so late.
Yet again, there was another mass exodus at the Grove. So, i’d say, roughly a couple thousand “FANS” must have missed both of them!
    GOOD! SHALLOW WANKERS!!!

Cheer up…the great thing about the game (apart from the point made by Clockend Gooner which I totally support), was that our young side came from behind to win the game. That shows maturity, strength and confidence. Several years ago you could look out for the half time results and see that Manu were losing 2-0…but you knew that they would turn it round because they were strong enough and they did usually, the FT score would be 2-3 or 2-4. – used to really piss me off.

Theo will get there eventually, probably as a super sub for a while, and the others willl settle down as the season progresses. We have a great side that is beginning to realise its potential and we should enjoy watching them do it. They need our help though right up to the full time whistle. Mean time beta blockers it is!

    sorry…in hindi slang…it means…. right said!!!

  4. I like the idea of bringing young Theo in a bit more often. He brings such a different look and he is always so enthusiastic!
