I'm a Gunner fan from New York. I know this is an old post to reply to, but I've only just now come back from vacation and am catching up on posts I've missed. had to comment on your remark re Zidane and the FIFA award, Cannavaro and Henry. I am also a Zidane fan and I've followed his career closely, including what he's said and done since his retirement. You shouldn't take his comments re Cannavaro and the FIFA award that literally. Zizou was being diplomatic. When the announcement came out about the 3 finalists, he was quoted in the French press saying that he thought Eto'o and Henry were better candidates for the award. I don't have the link right here with me (I'd have to do some searching on a Zidane site I frequent) but after that quote came out, some of us on that site had a great conversation about how Zidane agreed with our own feelings re who were better candidates: Eto'o or Henry.
