Missing Mad Jens

Jens is out of the squad for tomorrow’s match against Bolton. While that’s not really newsworthy it gives me a great segue into presenting a humorous video of our favorite keeper:

Hopefully Almunia can pull a few stunts like those tomorrow. Arsenal need to do their best to keep Jens around for at least a few more years, at least until he can impart a little of the unique mix of insane skills and hilarity that make him such a joy to watch. If he leaves, I’ll be sad to see him go. I can’t be the only one right?

  1. nice one gilberto -

how about finding the one where he sends ronaldo flying in the cup semi?

  2. perfectly legitimate tackle my arse, the wanker doesnt get the ball and sends him flying, should have been a yellow card for kevin davies

  3. I love the man. The fact that everybody outside the Arsenal hates him makes me love him even more. Mad as bag of mad things though.

Can you imagine if his missus doesn’t do his dinner on time or his kids leave the bath running?? I bet he goes f*cking ballistic.

Jens Lehmann as well as being a full time goalkeeper for the Arsenal, is also a full time stand up comedian, of which to be able to work 2 jobs on a full time basis also makes the man a genius for me. If he wasn’t a gooner i would hate him i think, like everyone else does, how ever he loves Arsenal and you can tell he does.
Because of his regular comic act, wich he perfroms very well mind you, his actual goalkeeping ability is not praised as much as i think it deserves. He shouts and comes for every cross or corner he can, and everytime he will catch or punch the ball away for 6. His ability to react when at times a goals bound to be conceded, his positioning as well. Hes big, strong, and has an extremely intimidating personality. What a keeper hes been, i personally think he’ll leave in the summer, of which i would like to see another German keeper come in, Hilderbrande for me. Jens is big, mad, crazy and a comic . . . and i love him, thank you Jens.
