Djourou in Times Square – Transfer to Red Bull New York? Nope.
A friend is visiting NYC this week and was out and about in Times Square Tuesday night. As he began crossing the street he recognized a familiar face in the distance… none other than our very own Johan Djourou. He was out with what appeared to be a girlfriend strolling amidst the glittery lights and homeless that the mean streets of New York City offer. My friend was unable to catch up with Johan to say hi, which would have probably been an exciting moment. You see, here in the States football players just aren’t recognized at all.
So, why was Djourou in NYC? Maybe the MLS is courting him to sign for the Red Bull New York? But that’s just as likely as Fabregas playing for Real Salt Lake. But more importantly… why was he wearing ridiculously tight jeans with glittery rhinestones outlining the back pockets? We’ll never know.

i imagine he was there on holiday
what a waste of bloody time. this is definitely the single worst article i have ever had the misfortune of reading. the headling is misleading and the content pathetic.
This is the most tedious post of the summer so far. Get a f’ing life!
@ above,How is the headline misleading?…The article is about Djourou in times square…you shouldn’t expect much when you click on newsnow these days anyway brainiac.
The more pertinent question is why your friend was watching Djourou’s behind so carefully that he could notice his tight, rhinestone-encrusted arse. I’m sure it was an extremely “exciting” moment for your friend.
I was in Time Square myself, last year. There’s a nice Mc Donalds’ there. Maybe Djouoru was checking out the Angus burger. Great, great burger, that. Got addicted to it when I was in the States.
I really like your site. For link exchange, here is my site address: http://www.arsenalspot.webs.com
I’ll add you forsure.
It seems as though Djourou is going to be back for the Sunderland game if needed. Top site by the way. Would you be able to email me when you get the chance?
Thanks
Thomas
